The long corridor or "the tunnel " in Masyaf Castle is about 60 meters long and is the main entrance to the castle and it is divided into sections separated by raised arches, and there are a number of narrow arrow slite cut to protect the western side of the castle .
In the ancient Byzantine period It was a defensive section، it has been carved it in the mother rock.
The tunnel has been vaulted in 12th century A.D and it was base for many of the upper rooms surrounding the inner castle known as the palace .

الممر الطويل " المعروف شعبياً بالسوق الطويل " في قلعة مصياف يبلغ طوله حوالي ٦٠ متر وهو المدخل الرئيسي للقلعة وهو مقسم إلى أقسام مفصولة بأقواس مرتفعة ، وهناك عدد من مرامي السهام الضيقة لحماية الجهة الغربية من القلعة .
في الفترة البيزنطية القديمة كان عبارة عن مقطع دفاعي محفور بالصخر تم بناء النفق في القرن الثاني عشر ميلادي وشكل قاعدة للغرف العلوية التي تحيط بالقلعة الداخلية المعروفة بإسم القصر .
