اقتحمت مجموعة من الشرطة في 13 آذار بيت برونا تايلور التي تعمل في المجال الصحي في ولاية كنتاكي وأطلقوا النار عليها ثمان مرات، حيث دخل ضباط الشرطة مرتدين ثياب مدنية واقتحموا بيتها بحجة أنهم يحققون مع اثنين من تجار المخدرات يعملان على بعد أكثر من 10 أميال من منزل برونا تايلور، حيث أصدر القاضي مذكرة بحجة أن أحد الرجلين استخدم شقتها لتخزين طرد يحتوي على مخدرات، إلا أننا نعرف الآن أن المشتبه به الرئيسي كان محتجزًا بالفعل في الوقت الذي داهمت فيه الشرطة منزل تايلور، ولم يتم العثور على شيء.
عملت برونا تايلور في غرفة الطوارئ الأمريكية في الخطوط الأمامية خلال جائحة فايروس كورونا.

من دون الاعتراف بقصة برونا تايلور، لا يمكن للولايات المتحدة أن تصلح سياستها وقانونها، وحتى الأن لا توجد أي وسيلة رسمية لجمع المعلومات حول حالات سوء المعاملة من قبل الشرطة، وهو انتهاك يؤثر على النساء ذوات البشرة السمراء بشكل كبير.
