ضمن نشاط (غربال) الذي تقيمه مؤسسة بيسمنت الثقافية ستكون جلسة النقاش رقم 21 حول حياة وأعمال الكاتب والفيلسوف الفرنسي فرانسوا ماري آروويه (1694 – 1778)، المعروف باسم شهرته فولتير. كاتب وفيلسوف فرنسي عـاش خلال عصر التنوير الأوروبي. عُرف بنقده الساخر، وذاع صيته بسبب سخريته الفلسفية الطريفة، ودفاعه عن الحريات المدنية، خاصة حرية المساواة وكرامة الإنسان. كتب المسرحيات والشعر والروايات والمقالات والأعمال التاريخية والعلمية، وأكثر من عشرين ألفًا من الخطابات، وأكثر من ألفين من الكتب والمنشورات. من أشهر آثاره: (رسائل فلسفية – 1734)، و(زاديغ أو (صادق) -1747)، و(كانديد أو (الساذج) – 1759)، و(المعجم الفلسفي – 1764).
