"الناس اللي فوق" اقتنعوا بشيء اسمه "الفردية" individualism وهي من أهم قيم العصر الحديث.
وملخص الفردية ان كل إنسان عالم مستقل بذاته له كل الحق في اختيار افكاره ومهنته وشخصيته وحياته.
وقالوا أيضا ان الهدف الاسمى لكل فرد هو تحقيق سعادته ونجاحه الشخصي بكل الطرق المتاحة.
وحتى لا تتصارع ارادات ومصالح الافراد تتكفل الدولة بحماية الناس وسن القوانين المنظمة لحياتهم وتطبيقها.
ولان سعادة الفرد هي الهدف الاسمى للمجتمع والدولة تستطيع اختيار أي طريق تريده… ولا أحد سيحاسبك على اخطاءك ما دمت لم تتسبب في ضرر للاخرين.
مجتمعات منتجة لا يوجد بها هيئات فضيلة، ولا شرطة اخلاقية، وغير مهمومة بمراقبة سلوكك الجنسي والشخصي.
مجتمعات لا تنظر للسلوك الشخصي على انه سلوك عام، ليس لديها شيء اسمه "شرف العائلة" او "سمعة المجتمع" او "هيبة الدولة".
هذه المجتمعات اقتنعت بحق كل شخص في ارتكاب الأخطاء والحق في تصحيحها دون تدخل مجتمعي أو رسمي ما دامت لا تضر الآخرين.
بسم حماية الفضيلة حولنا انفسنا الى مجتمعات رقابة شاملة على سلوكيات الاخرين.
ولا أقول الا كما قال العملاق القصيمي : "يا شعوباً أنهكها البحث عن الفضيلة، جربي البحث عن الرذيلة ، فقد تجدين بها ما تفقدين من فضائل!"
