"بالمناسبة..يناسبني ان تكوني انثى،بصرف النظر عن جلافة هذه الأرض واسمها الطافح ذكورية، أتخيل اليمن دائما انثى لا تعلم كم هي جميلة،وحين تتموضعين في هذه الصورة لا استطيع منع نفسي من فكرة سخيفة تمكن وطنا بأكمله ان يستوطن إمراة..لاتشبهين تحفظ هذه الأرض،لكن الآن وانتي متدثرة بكل هذا المهرجان اللوني "والذي قد يفسر كمبالغة حزين"ووجهك الجريء بنظرته المتحدية منشغل عن التحديق بالمشاهد لرحابة الورق،وجهك الغني بتأويلاته..الذي لم يكن يمنيا بمافيه الكفاية ولم يكن مستغربا كما يجب،لربما كانت الطرق تمنحه ملمحا كل يوم..لربما كل السفر تركه طريقا لا ينتمي لأحد!
انتي الآن مروضة..وديعة مثل أي يمنية لا تعلم شيئا عن النسوية والرأسمالية وثورة السود،محتفية كما يبدو بكتاب تفضح زخارفه عراقة حرفه العربي،فتاة تقرأ بينما نحن نقرأها..نفسرها..نتخيلها!
مع كل هذا قد اصدق بسهولةان اليمن ترك حربه القادمة،بتر جهاز التنفس،ارتدى لحمه بغته،بصق قاته المختمر..فاوض أصابعه المتخاصمة..ومضى يسكنك!"
