The first woman to serve as Chief Justice (première présidente) of the Court of Cassation of France is her Honor Simone Rozès, she was nominated in 1984 and retired in 1988.
Also she is the first women served at the Court of justice of the European Communities, from 1981 till 1984.
القاضية الفرنسية سيمون روزيس هي أول قاضية فرنسية تشغل منصب رئيس محكمة النقض بفرنسا. تولت المنصب عام 1984 وتقاعدت في عام 1988.

Her Honor graduated from faculty of law of Paris in 1945, and practiced as a lawyer till 1950 when she became a magistrate at the Ministry of Justice.
