تم الكشف من قبل كشفت منظمات المجتمع المدني في السودان عن تزويج طفلة ذات 4 سنوات بولاية غرب كردفان في آذار الماضي، وفي اليوم نفسه تم أيضاً تزويج شقيقتها البالغة من العمر 16 سنة ووفقاً لما أوردته وكالة السودان للأنباء "سونا".
مما دفع مركز "سيما للتدريب وحماية حقوق المرأة والطفل" لتسليم مذكرة لكل من وزير العدل نصر الدين عبد الباري، والنائب العام تاج السر الحبر، والأمين العام للمجلس القومي لرعاية الطفولة عثمان شيبة، تطالب فيها الحكومة السودانية، باتخاذ الإجراءات العاجلة واللازمة لإبطال زواج الطفلة الأولى البالغة من العمر 4 سنوات فقط، ومراجعة إجراءات تزويج الطفلة الثانية ذات 16 عاماً، انطلاقاً من الحرص على حمایة حقوق الأطفال، واستناداً إلى الإعلان الدستوري واتفاقية حقوق الطفل وميثاق الطفل الأفريقي.
وطلبت المذكرة من الجهات المختصة اعتبار الزواج مخالفاً لعدد من القوانين التي تمنع زواج الطفلات، ومحاسبة كل من اشترك في ذلك الانتهاك بمن فيهم والدا الطفلتين، والمأذون الذي تم على يديه ذلك التزويج، كما دعت المذكرة إلى إصلاح قانوني يجرم تزويج الطفلات، وطالبت بإطلاق حملة قومية للتصدي له وتفعيل كل الآليات الداعية لمنعه وتقديم العون للطفلات.
تسليط الضوء على هذه القضية جاء بالتزامن مع تحذيرات من تفاقم مخاطر تزويج القاصرات، بسبب فيروس كورونا، وما خلّفه من أزمة اقتصادية تدفع أولياء الأمور إلى تزويج بناتهم في سن مبكرة، يضاف إليها إغلاق المدارس في سياق مكافحة انتشار الوباء.
وتبعاً لدراسات رسمية أعدّت قبل 10 سنوات، فإنّ نسبة زواج القاصرات في المناطق الريفية السودانية بلغت 40%، في مقابل 28% في المناطق الحضرية.

Highlighting this issue came in conjunction with warnings of aggravating the risks of marriage of minors, due to coronavirus, and the economic crisis that leads parents to marry their daughters at an early age, added to school closures in the context of fighting the spread of the epidemic.
According to official studies prepared 10 years ago, the ratio of marriages of minors in Sudanese rural areas reached 40 %, compared to 28 % in urban areas.
