المستشارة الوحيدة حاليا بهيئة المفوضين بالمحكمة الدستورية العليا المصرية (وهي الهيئة التى تصدر تقارير قانونية استشارية غير ملزمة لهيئة المحكمة تعرض فيها الرأي القانوني ومدي انطباق النصوص القانونية علي الدعوى المنظورة) منذ أكتوبر 2012 حتى الان
تخرجت من كلية الحقوق جامعة الاسكندرية بتقدير عام جيد دفعة 1990.
ندبت للعمل بهيئة المفوضين بالمحكمة الدستورية العليا إلى جانب عملها بالمكتب الفنى للنيابة الإدارية بالإسكندرية.
Justice Sherien Farhoud is the only consular women in the Division Commission Department in the Egyptian Supreme Constitutional Court (SCC) which prepares the documents of the case and draft an advisory legal opinion recommending what it views as the correct application of the law to the cases to be reviewed by the court since Oct 2012 till the present :)
She graduated from Faculty of Law, Alexandria University in 1990 and started her professional career as an administrative prosecutor/consular in the Administrative Prosecution Authority till getting appointed in the SCC by a presidential decree. She is a mother for 1 daughter.
جدير بالذكرأن تشكيل المحكمة الدستورية العليا المصرية حاليا يخلو من وجود أي قاضية ولم تعتل منصتها قاضية سوى مرة واحدة فقط منذ انشائها عام 1969 وهي المستشارة تهاني الجبالي من عام 2003 حتي عام 2013.
It is worth mentioning that the Egyptian Supreme Constitutional Court has never witnessed a woman judge sitting on its bar but once since its establishment in 1969 ! Justice Tahany El-Gebaly who served in the court from 2003 till 2013.
ارتقت العديد من القاضيات في دول افريقية لأعلي المناصب القضائية كرئيسة للمحكمة العليا في دول تنتهج النظام الأنجلوسكسوني كغانا ونيجيريا ومالاوي وزامبيا وانجلترا. كما ترأست المحكمة الدستورية العليا في دول تنتهج النظام اللاتيني كبنين وبروندي والنيجر والسنغال.
In African countries, women has ascended to the top of the judiciary, most notably as Chief Justices of Supreme Courts in common law countries like Ghana, Nigeria, Gambia, Malawi, Zambia and the UK, and also as Presidents of Constitutional Courts in civil law countries such as Benin, Burundi, Niger and Senegal.
